Weekly Updates

Good evening Fairview families,

Next week will be an exciting one at FES!  We will be celebrating reading and literacy with our Fairview “Rockin' Reading Week.”  There will be fun activities all week long in both our face to face and full remote classrooms.  Please see the attached flyer for more information about each day’s activities.  Tomorrow, Monday, April 19th, students are encouraged to “Buddy Up with a Book” by bringing their favorite book and a stuffed animal to share with the class.

May 18th:  ELA/Reading EOG (3rd-5th)

May 19th:  Math EOG (3rd-5th)

May 25th: Science EOG (5th only)

Calling all rising kindergarten students!  Fairview Elementary will hold Kindergarten Registration on Wednesday, April 28th.  This is our enrollment day for all new kindergarteners.  If you have a rising kindergarten student or know someone with a rising kindergarten student, please call the school at 628-2732 to schedule an appointment for April 28th.  We look forward to meeting all our new cardinals!

Next week, April 19-23, is National Volunteer Week.  Even though we haven’t been able to have parent volunteers in our building this year due to Covid-19 protocols, we appreciate everything that our parents have continued to do for our school.  We appreciate the donations of supplies, snacks, classroom items, holiday treats, etc.  We also thank our parent who has volunteered in our car rider line every morning to help the process go smoothly.  Our wonderful PTA has continued to support our staff with special treats throughout the year too.  We wish we could get together and celebrate all of you but know that is not an option at this time. However, please know that we appreciate your support this school year more than ever.  It takes all of us working together to make Fairview Elementary what it is--a terrific school!  Thank you from the students and staff of FES!

Have a great week ahead!
