Dear Parents,

Bookcases Needed!!

Our classroom needs a couple bookcases because we're blessed with so many student texts. However there is no wall space remaining so they would need to be no more than 30" tall, 4' long and 2' wide with a shelf in the middle (I might have to build these myself given their strange dimensions).

It's Snack Time!!

Beginning Friday, Sep. 15th, students will be allowed to bring a small (5 minute max.) snack to class each day. We'll enjoy that break right after recess each early afternoon.
Students are not to bring sugary snacks, especially candy or soda for snack time.

Student Pictures in this Web Page
I plan on using photos from our classroom on this webpage. As stated in your student handbook, "Buncombe County Schools’ policy does not require parental permission for students to be photographed, videotaped and/or interviewed by system employees or media on routine school topics, activities for public information, awards, and honors of instructional and/or promotional purposes. Parental permission must be given, however, to photograph, videotape and/or interview children with physical or mental disabilities if they will be identified as children with physical or mental disabilities. Parents, guardians or eligible students may request not to be photographed, videotaped and/or interviewed by notifying the school in writing."
So if you don't want your child's face on the web page, please let me know (in writing).
