Gym fun with preschool

Coach Corbin and Coach Harrison’s first-block freshmen PE classes proudly organized Gobble Gobble Movement Stations for our very own preschool, creating a fun and energetic morning centered on healthy gratitude. Students worked in collaborative teams of four to six, designing age-appropriate movement stations that encouraged preschoolers to jump, balance, toss, and explore. Each group crafted a colorful, creative poster to introduce their station with a unique name, helping guide the younger students through the activities with excitement and confidence. With music playing throughout the gym, the event was filled with positivity, teamwork, and smiles—an uplifting showcase of student leadership and community engagement.

The first annual NBHS Turkey Trot was a trot to success, thanks to the hard work and leadership of Corbin’s Advanced PE class. Students took ownership of the event by organizing key responsibilities, including water stations, award preparation for the top four finishers, game stations, themed costumes, course planning, and promotional flyers. We were also grateful to collaborate with Ms. Hellert’s Foods class, who baked four delicious pumpkin pies for our winners, adding a special touch to the celebration. Although the weather moved our trot indoors, the enthusiasm and teamwork shown by everyone involved made the event memorable. We look forward to building on this momentum and making next year’s Turkey Trot even better.
