On a sunny, sudsy Saturday morning at Fairview Elementary School, families said “thank you” with hoses, squeegees, and sponges. The school’s Dads Club organized a bus wash to help bus drivers finish their school year duties.
“We‘re always looking for things we can incorporate our dads and our kids together, and then heard about this need.” said Brian Fuchs, president of the Fairview Dads Club. “We wanted to be able to take that burden off of the drivers, and come have fun and get soapy with our kids.”
Bus drivers at the event were very appreciative.
“I’m so grateful for this,” said driver Scott Cameron. “It’s great seeing the dads and their kids working together, too.”
Two teams worked for nearly three hours making buses sparkle and shine.
“This Dads Club steps up and does so much,” said bus driver Jennifer Thompson. “It’s just awesome that they also decided to help us.”
