On Wednesday, Dr. Rob Jackson returned to his 45 Schools In 45 Days campaign as he completed his ninth full-day school visit; he spent the day at Fairview Elementary School.
Located in the Reynolds District, Fairview Elementary first opened its doors in 1926. The current building was built in the fall of 1990 and has replaced the former building. Today the school serves 669 students, and has 96 dedicated staff members.
Fairview Elementary is home to a wide variety of extracurricular activities including a unicycle team, chorus and drama club, Fairview jump rope club, chess club, and Fairview Dads Club.
“All of these activities support the whole child,” said Principal Dr. Angie Jackson. “We continue to grow after our academic day ends.”
It’s the community that helps make Fairview Elementary a special place for students.
“Our school is special because we are a family with highly involved stakeholders who work together to support the academic, social and emotional needs of each individual student,” she said.
